As I write this it's lap 18 of the 2nd race of WSB in England. Is it possible for the average Joe to book time on this track. Do cars run on this track. What's the difference between WSB and Moto GP? Is WSB a step "down" from Moto GP? How would Niki and Rossi do here? Just a few random thoughts as I watch the end of this race.Cheers. The last race was brilliant!

I know :-: I was there :yo:

Yes. Costs from ?99 for the 'indy' circuit to ?235 for the full circuit as used in the race you watched.

Do cars run on this track
Yes, but not F1.

What's the difference between WSB and Moto GP?
WSB is a production based series. The bikes they race are mass produced and you can buy in a bike dealer, but the race bikes are highly modified and tuned. They do bend the rules to suit though, as you can't buy a Petronas FP1.
MotoGP is the cutting edge of motorcycle trickery. The F1 equivalent.

Is WSB a step "down" from Moto GP?
Can of worms. I would say that MotoGP is the pinnacle of bike racing, but I wouldn't say WSB is a step down. Look at the likes of Troy Bayliss who never quite made it in MotoGP, but is a world class rider and doing very well in WSB. Alex Barros did well in MotoGP's, but is struggling in WSB. Too many variables to call really.

How would Niki and Rossi do here?
Who knows :dunno: Lots of world class riders have tried to master both, but very few have accomplished it, and none in recent years. Be good though wouldn't it.

Maybe they'll have a Canadian round one day :yo:
