Well, saw a Red one and a Black one at Box Hill this morning (before 9am!! - and yes, I did have to get up at stupid o clocka nd no I wasn't happpy!!) anyone on here? - black one had an interesting raised graphic on the side fairing (think it was 'CBR' - and didn't seem too happy about something that had happened on the way, so didn't stop to say hi!!!

and at Brigton - well - disappointing Bird turnout, but saw a few! bloody awful for parking though!!!

Brighton always is a nightmare for parking. There's only so much bikers slots along Kings St, just along from the Pier and Madiera Drive can be a just as bad. The parking attendant type people are like vultures too.

I love the place though. Great for people watching. :yo:

Ah - but this was (apparently) Ace Cafe Reunion ride out day!! Thousands of bike - and stormtrooper type coppers sticking fixed penalty notices all over the place!! thought there was going to be a riot until someone opened one and found it just contained a warning! stupid exercise really!

shame - I got dragged away to get to Brighton in time to park (which we weren't!!)

aiming to try and get there again soon, depending on the weather!

What was on the warning notices?....

....Don't be tempted to peel of your leathers and go swimming from the nudist beach; the water's always filthy and freezing.

Probably not.

Water looked lovely - warning was basically - you are parking on a pavement and causing an obstruction - if you do it again you will be clamped/fined/bashed on the head!!!. Thing is, the notices weren't on all the bikes, and not even on all the ones that could be classed as not parking 'sensibly' on the pavement!!! and where else did they want the bikes to park as there wasn't room where they planned to put them, and the beach is a bit rubbish for a road bike!!!! Hey Ho!!!!

Shame

Brighton used to be fairly laid back. Seems it's becoming a bit anal.....

..No, I know its been a bit anal for certain members of society. I meant anally retentive. Tch.

Knew I should have asked last week if anyone was going.

I thought there were a lot less bikes than last year though I did see more Birds, maybe just looking out for them more. Didn't see yours though Smix.

Even nearly got taken out by a blue 'un on the one way system!

I saw 3 traffic wardens handing out tickets to bikes parked in a side street, maybe Brighton Council might like to think just how much money was spent in their town yesterday before next year?

Nice day out tho eh?

We parked away from the festivities!! On the Prom towards shoreham (but not too far!!) - just near the ticketing session!!! Luckily cos we were parked up to the wall, we weren't classed as an obsruction.

Be interesting to know if Brighton Council is happy to ave p'd off a load of peeps - guess there's a few won't bother in future with that attitude!!

Might be going to Box Hill on 8th Oct - apparently there is another 'run' that day, but not sure where to, just know they want me to meet up at Box!!!

We was there.

Rode down with some guys from our district Motorcycle Club. Great day in all. Parked on the pavement within sight of the pier and had a good strole around. One thing for sure - Siddi Vertigo Corsas - these boots are NOT made for walking! Loads of Hardly Movinsons and saw a fair few 'Birds about. Our decision to go was last minute so didn't get the chance to ask if anyone else was going. Shame.
