Totally agree with you there !
We saw Marc Almond recently and he was fantastic and a great showman BUT last night ...!!!!
He wasn't the only one who didn't have the talent or vocal skills of David Bowie
Very few were decent ....
Pity it could have been a fantastic show !
Yup, very mixed albeit so far I have only watched the first forty minutes or so as I fell asleep:-0)
Almond was dreadful from what I saw. Some other great vocalists that I have never heard of.
Why no Prince tribute at The Proms though? Arguably as influential as Bowie?

Watched it last night some were awful, 2 of the insrumental tracks I still have no idea which song they were supposed to be.
Sadly most of the performers had not got the vocal talent required to do a decent job and Marc Almond attempting Life on Mars was pretty dreadful and for him embarrassing.
Fook knows where they found some of the "singers" it could have been very good but sadly it was not.
The only one that stood out for me was Blackstar which the two female singers did a pretty good job on.
