Interesting Bought to tinker with.

Just bought this little beauty, basically to tinker with and well, because i can!
However, i have had an itch to buy in particular, a grey framed red Blackbird for some time, this particular colour scheme just seems to work for me better than other combinations, possibly seems less busy than multi shaded or coloured models .
Its a Y plate bike with just 23k miles and is in real nice condition.
Looking forward to righting the wrongs tailoring to taste.
Was it this model that the loom gremlin struck?

My understanding of the loom problem is that it affects all FI models but not the beautiful versions with carbs. Looks best in red like all Ferraris.

Very nice indeed.. and yes, that model was indeed one that suffered big time with a wanky loom

I'd remove that rack as a point of order anyway, as it spoils the look of the bike. Irrespective of colour, the 'Bird has a magnificent silhouette straight out of the box.

Different is that! Cant quite tell if its a single sided swingarm? Appears to be lots changed to the point where only the nose looks Blakbirdess. would love to see and hear it in the flesh so to speak.

Thereis a series of pics from the tear down of what was @Pugwash 's garden ornament to the finish.. Though I am still waiting for the grafix to be delivered

As above it is a Rentek - got mine powder coated and it lasted well.....

She's a looker right enough, but I do love the silhouette of the 'Bird in general. The fact that it doesn't look out of date today (and I still want one!) speaks volumes; I saw an old ZZR 11 yesterday, and very tidy she was too, but she looked old. The 'Bird doesn't look old.
