The oil cooler pipes on my old carbie are quite badly pitted ,the bike is 20 years old.
The rest of the bike is spot on,I never bothered to replace them as they seem to function o/k.
Thing is,having read a few posts from owners who have experienced sudden failure
and others who recommend replacing them sooner rather than later I am in sevral minds
over what to do.
Should I leave well alone until the inevitable happens?
Should I replace them with a nice set of braided items?
Is replacing them opening a potential can of worms?( stripped bolts etc)
Have I just got itchy spanner fingers and am looking for something to do?
Should I just lighten up and ride the bugger?
Any opinions appreciated chaps..
