on way from stranraer to kelso for bmf my bird broke down.....spent thurs night with nose cone off to replace blown headlight bulbs both of them......fri morn started bird my son came out revved bike blew both bulbs again.....on road to ferry it pissed down...cleaned visor with anti fog which didnt work.... i then realised i had forgot my clear visor.....got to Dumfries the bird died in the rain.....no power....lifted seat to watch my new battery go up in smoke...called the AA they came at 17:05, 45 mins after i called them...only to tell me i had roadside assistance not recovery...got towed by friends who were in car to Suzuki dealer in Dumfries who stayed open to help me on fri night....long story short.... rectifier fcuked, battery fried, fuses blew, bulbs blew....new rectifer fitted, new battery, new fuses and two bulbs from halfords cause Suzuki had none....all weekend funds spend in 45 mins ?xxx.xx +vat.....could only afford new waterproofs at bmf which i left in mates car (trusting weather for ride home) it pissed from kelso to gretna and windy got soaked...A7 beautiful road.....having crisis now...do i sell bird and get busa (like the 2 guys that were with me who have had no probs with there bike) or hang on in there....

Sounds like you haven't done your loom fix yet....seen a lot of birds at the rally unfortunately 2 red 1 two tone blue one have to say ride back home was interesting with the wind!

we hit the A7 it was really windy and pissing down.....enjoyable weekend apart from the breakdown of course.....cheers bar prices bit hit and miss, ?2.80 for pint then ?3 towards end of night...
