In the past there's been some great evening entertainment and good bands playing. If the weather's good and you want to spend the day drinking beer in a field of motorbikes it's worth it. I haven't camped for about 5 years so will be waiting to see what's gone so wrong since...

I've been going for years, and each year it gets slightly worse, this year in May it was crapola .....
To be fair, it is what it is, but as with most "shows" these days, whether they are bike shows, county shows, game fairs etc, they are full of stalls selling utter tat such as wonder polish or gator grips <sigh>, this is no different and you'll find such delights as : £25 Chinese helmet sellers, bulging clearance tents selling leathers with broken zips, or a one piece race suit that fits you, but is bright yellow, or that Arai you've been looking for, but in XXXXxxxxxX small, chip vans selling frozen shit processed chips for £9 a cone or a handful of noodles for £7, a fun fair area with rides bolted together by pikey retards who think twine and string works just as well as a bolt...... then there's the bikes .... BMW will be there, and 'some' others. On the periphery there's the bike clubs, such as the one I'm a member of, the members of which sit there under a gazebo for 2 days eating family packs of biscuits whilst not actually speaking to anyone as they trawl past, the autojumble will turn up a 1926 fire wrecked James with a photo of what it could look like, with a price tag of £2k, you'll see several decent concours 70's bikes and take a pic, lastly there'll be some thick & rough as fuck slappers from Bennets handing out flyers to supplement their huge 'make up and fake tit' fund .......
yeah, if you're level of expectation is low, then you'll love it if however you occasionally eat in restaurants where the menu isn't laminated, then you might not .......

Fake tits are too difficult to resist?

It's the fact it's the same stuff every year that stopped me going every time.
I don't commute now, but the FT Seconds tents are ace! All of my suits have come from there and the worst fault I had was a spelling mistake on the "Impect Protection" label.

I'm going, prob sunday. Ride had an offer a few issues back of two tickets for price of one, so me and a mate are going at ?7 each.

Got a few things I'm looking for in the jumble, and maybe some fabric trousers for the winter. Usually do quite well, picked a gallon of Silkolene 2 stroke for my lads ped at last one for ?2.

May try and bump into John (and anybody else) this time, assuming he'll be in the bar at midday.

I long since gave up going for the bikes or even the parts to be honest.
I go for the social aspect .. Meeting mates and folk not seen for yonks, getting a bit pissed in the evenings and sitting round in the club marquee with 10 or 20 like minded souls getting a little drunker and telling a few lies which no one is listening to or is interested in !! ( But everyone laughing and enjoying the moment anyway :-0) :-0) )
