Work and Pensions Secretary David Blunkett has resigned after a meeting with Tony Blair in Downing Street.
Mr Blunkett had been under pressure after breaking the ministerial code of conduct over paid work he took while he was out of Cabinet.
Downing Street had been standing by Mr Blunkett's ability to continue in his job, despite making a "mistake".
It is the second time Mr Blunklett has had to quit the Cabinet, resigning as home secretary in December 2004.

It's a shame, I quite like the guy. He's one of the few people in the government that talked common sence.

Also he had good foresight and a good eye for things!!!!! :}

The twat spends weeks denying he's been on the greed trail, and breaking the rules, lies, embarrasses the PM to the point he has to resign (if he hadn't turned the car around this morning and gone back to Downing Street I'd of said he was sacked), then admits he did everything what accused of. So now he's a liar as well......... but "he leaves office blah blah".
