I was coming down the Furka Pass earlier, it’s narrow, twisty and windy. There’s loads of cars and bikes out today. The bikes are fine, small, light plenty of power to get past in an instant.
then there’s the tractors, humpty dumptyson’s et al.
there’s a line of 4 cars, reasonably spaced apart coming up towards me, there’s 2 HD fat bastards with fairings and panniers and kitchen sinks trying to overtake. Unsuccessfully. They’re stuck out in the breeze.
The cars have pulled across, sensibly, as have I. The Mild Bunch are seemingly oblivious and don’t/can’t pull in between the cars - because obviously they want to ride side by side.
we got alongside and they’ve got across as close to the car as they can - but that’s still not enough room for me as well. Silly bastards.
a very long blast of the Stebel was very welcomed I reckon in his ears as I brushed his head with my door mirror. A very, very frightened face looked at me. A change of underwear at least I reckon.
his panniers left a reminder -it should polish out, I’ll have a look later when we stop overnight.
