Bloody Garmin

I've had Garmin's for a number of years, the Quest (I still have it) my Zumo 550, has been replaced under warranty, twice!! and untill today a Nuvi 40 lm, it was the third one I've had, and that "froze" today in the middle of nowhere in an unfamiliar area, so I was initially stuffed until I remembered my "smart" 8rfl@ phone has google maps set up on it, that got me out of the poo!!
So tonight after work, I took the "40" back to Halfrauds AGAIN!! :bang: Mustafa greeted me like an old friend!! well I've spent enough time and money in his place!!brok3 so this time I decided enough was enough and put a tenner towards ANOTHER bloody Garmin!! this to up grade 8rfl@!!!! to a Nuvi 2445 LMT got another recipt so should be good for a few more WEEKS till this un goes tits up are they being made in China now, ?? as my others have never been this bad for reliability!!
Must admit I do like all the toys it has on it, which also worries me, as there's that much more to go wrong!!:dunno:

You've had how many Garmins?

I have had my Tomtom go 100 about 8 or 9 years & it started cutting out on journeys so I replaced it with another tomtom, just discovered that the go 100 is ok & it is the charging lead that is knackered.

Keep replacing your gimmicky garmins Ian :-0)

All four of my Garmins are still going strong .. not one with an issue

Fookin Tomtoms have caused me nothing but shite and grief, backed up with a customer service department whose watch word seems to be 'apathy'

We've got Tom Tom's at work, well every other feker has!!:wank: they often don't work or are just weird!! that, and they all need updating!! my Zumo hasnt given any problems barring it froze not so long ago, some of you lot suggested I turn it off and turn it on, which I did and have had no problems since, the Nuvi 40's I've had have all gone tits up for no apparent reason and at the most inopportune time!!:bang:
And as it happens, Mustafa was saying they are all pretty much as bad as each other nowadays!! he sells enough of them, so should know more than most !!:dunno: he has both Garmin and Tom Tom on speed dial :dunno:no hassle just tells them the id number and gets an automatic nod to exchange the unit!!:)-(

And whilst I'm having a good old moan!! the "spare" holder I bought for the truck that the Nuvi 40's fit WONT fit my Nuvi 2445 LMT, and to get another one will cost a further ?20 quid or thereabouts!!:bang:
