On the weekly commute back down to sunny Gosport this afternoon and I thought I would take the scenic route as the roads were dry and the M3 was boring.....anyway there I am 'making progress' along the A32 when a frigging flying rat (pigeon) decided that it needed to take off only it had obviously eaten too many pies and was having problems which meant my helmet was in it's glide path :eek:

Anyway managed to keep control and sorted myself out but put the shits up me quite badly for a bit!!!!

So my top tip for today.......watch out for fat pigeons :shooter:

I had one hit me in the chest - after bouncing off the indicator at around 70mph with missus on the back. Didn't half hurt and left some entrails on my jacket.

Would have cooked the fucker if it wasn't several hundred meters back up the road.

Pheasant for me.

I had a pheasant took off from the roadside as I passed and hit my head. Fortunately only doing about 40mph but it still felt like my head had come off.
Fecker continued to fly but left a cloud of feathers. Mates laughed like drains!

Over 10 years ago I missed a flight for my honeymoon..
the train driver had been knocked out on the train I was in by a pheasant that went straight through his screen. Had to wait 2 hours for another train and driver.

good looking AND modest
Hit two Pheasants at the same time in a transit pickup truck, one bounced off the windscreen and "nearly" went through the mesh behind the cab, the other went straight through the front plastic radiator grill the radiator itself and was finally splattered all around the engine bay by the fan it also broke, the truck had about a thousand miles on it and cost a fortune to sort out, it stunk for months :puke: when we finally got it back after the repairs, as some of the bird hadn't been cleaned out!! :-0)

also followed a chap that had a small bird go through his front wheel, it shook him up and he nearly dropped it, "we" following couldn't believe such a small bird "possibly a sparrow" had so many feathers on it, it was like a pillow had exploded!!8rfl@
