Bloody brake pads need replacing NOW!!!! ( or maybe a couple hundred miles ago  ) there is still some lining left on them but not a lot.

Why does something like that always happen when you plan on going for a run or something. Instead of going for a blast tomorrow with the other Scottish bird members i have to change the pads out and then go for a gentle run to bed them in :B

Oh well to make it up to myself i have just paid my dosh online for gold membership here so i can post pics and stuff (not to mention supporting the efforts that Jaws & co.put in )

Jaws - ever used

Carbon Lorraine pads or have a view on them ?

I'm advised they take a little while to "warm up" first thing, but are very sharp after the initial "warming up" period :dunno:

Yes mate,, seriously good pads for track days ( and as they only take minutes to change on a bird worth lobbing out for and change over at the track ).. but they have a terrible reputaion for destroying rotors, and they tend not to work too well till they are pretty hot .

cheers for the offer jaws but i got them yesterday and fitted them today cos i hate the idea of dodgy brakes :-:
I had dunlopads on other bikes and they seemed ok so im giving them a go on the bird and first impressions seem good but ill wait and see how they are after bedding in properly

I've been using bendix sport pad's and found them really good in the wet and dry used for two years they dont seem so harsh on disc's but the feel and stopping power is very good. I've tried various pad's over the years but these beat them all for road use.
