I watched it last night and found it highly informative. it covered the concept of unconscious bias very well and used some very good exercisises to demonstrate what it is and how it affects us all.Haven't watched it yet but there is a programme on Channel 4 The School That Tried to End Racism...from the description the subject is unconscious racial bias....hopefully it can explain it better than I can.
Or it could be another stupid fly on the wall cheap schedule filler.
Few years back Grandkids had to see a Doctor after a car crash, the Doctor that Grace saw was a big friendly black African man, Grace was terrified & hid behind us, when we left the Doctor’s we asked Grace what was wrong, she eventually said “Daddy says that black men kidnap & eat children” when my daughter confronted him he laughed..I watched it last night and found it highly informative. it covered the concept of unconscious bias very well and used some very good exercisises to demonstrate what it is and how it affects us all.
If nothing else it is worth watching to hear what 11 year old kids say about racism and how it affects their personality.
The people that scare me are the ones who start watching it and dismiss the subject entirely.
