I currently have 3 bikes in the garage - the Buell, 'bird arriving tomorrow and my partners Bandit 1200.

It was a bit of a wreck, albeit only having 20k on the clocks. It had been rattle canned black and then stood outside for years and never got much use. Also leaked oil from the head drain tubes which was annoying....

It had been bugging me for ages, so I decided to clean it up. Stripped to a bare frame, blasted it and repainted everything in a mixture of full gloss and matt. Also stripped the engine down and sorted the leaking drain tubes and did the valve clearances etc. New bearings in the rear suspension and 20mm jack up links. Maxton all round too.

I took a week off work to do it... and just got it done in that time. Since fitted bungs to the pillion grab rail holes and some new grips.

One of my many bandits had a reg starting T140 & that was a low miles matt black thing its got me wondering if its the same bike now, either way nice job

I hope it is that one had a great engine that deserved the rest of the bike being bought up to scratch, I only sold it because I had 8 bikes at the time but only really room for 6

The whole car is getting done this winter... it's another project vehicle - paint will be the mirror of the bandit - purple with black stripe. Also getting an engine swap....

Someone has an obsession with purple and black as a colour scheme - while I am not quite as obsessed, neither of these vehicles are technically 'mine' since they are my partners (we share), I don't have the final say on these ones
