Folks, please see below a request for help from FastPastor on the VFR site. This chap really is a Pastor and has recently had some karts stolen from the church premises. The post is copied below and explains the position and help/advice he needs. If anyone can help please post:
This is regarding the theft of the Go-Karts from our church premises, (see thread Bib-Robbed). I have been informed that a Kart matching our description has just appeared on ebay. I was wondering if there was anyone who lives in or around the Blackpool area could check it our for me.
Don't suppose the plod on this site could give some advice..please. It seems from the pics on the Ebay site, both my Karts are in Blackpool. Tried to report this information to the local nick, only to be told that they had no record of any theft being committed. The Bobby I spoke to said the last record of a theft from us was in July 2004 (that's when we had the computers nicked). That is despite two uniforms responding to the call on the 17/8/04, and SOC coming and doing their stuff, then the uniforms coming back for the CCTV Video tape.
It appears the crime was logged centrally, but then lost, it was then passed on to a D.C. who was known to be on extended sick leave and nobody has bothered to action it.
Where do I go from here? Can't raise the Neighbourhood inspector, and my local Bobby (and good contact) is on a course for the week. So I am staring at pictures of my two stolen Go Karts, sitting in a garage in Blackpool and apart from paying the guy a visit (which could end up with me being arrested, and losing my ministerial credentials) I can do nothing about it.
Help can/will someone in our police do something? I don't think this is too much to ask do you? Your advice please.
