Blackbird spares

Hi,

I must add my vote of thanks to 1200Pete for helping me out with some essential bits to get the 'bird back on the road after my spill.

Good service, good chat and a nice cup of coffee.

Looking forward to the rearsets arriving.

Fletch.

P.S.
Does anyone else have experience of the handlebars breaking off?

My RH bar broke off where the tube joins the aluminium riser. At this stage I don't know whether this contributed to the off or was caused by the off.

Hi Jaws,

Thanks for the reply. No one I've spoken to so far has heard of the bar breaking off either.

The remains look rather crystalline in structure so I'm going to give them to the metallurgy guys at work to have a gander at, hoping that they can give me a clue as to whether the break was pre or post the off.

Fletch.

Dunno, bike was new when I bought it.

Just trying to explain the huge (unplanned) wheelie before it spat me off when pulling away.

Fletch.
