I have been to a few of these over the years although not for the past two years, hopefully we will be attending some next year, maybe even the Mcbash.
We have always had a brilliant time even when it pissed down from friday to Monday non stop, always great company, plenty of food, drink & entertainment, good banter & excellent charity auctions & all for the price of a couple of decent takeaways.
Anybody who thinks that they are not value for money read on.
On 14th July we are going to a barbecue in Cheshire, we are travelling down on the day & setting off home late evening. this barbecue is organised by the Highland pony society with proceeds going towards grass sickness, this is costing ?60 for three of us + fuel for daughter's car.
If we were travelling down the day before & camping & leaving the day after the barbecue this would be costing ?127 per person, some people are actually paying this amount
