Hi Froggie,

Crown relocations are highly reccomended, were using them to move next year, to be honest though i'll be leaving the bike and buying over there, they quoted ?300 to move the bike to perth WA, bearing in mind thats on top of the price of a container.
Once you get to the other end you need to pay import duty and various other bits and bobs.
It doesnt cost that much but to be honest it seemed simpler to me to sell the bike over here and use the cash over there to get an other.
I had a good root round the bike shops on my last visit and most, year for year, seem to be in better nick than i'd expect to see over here, bearing in mind lack of sh*t weather, road salt ect.
Hope this helps but if your after more info type police-forum into google, once in search for moving bike/vehicle in the general section and theres loads of info.

PS sorry for the lack of direct links but i'm not very computer friendly:-0)

Do your homework thoroughly, my cousin took his bike there on a 1yr visa, cost him $2000 dollars. not inclucing the shipping, when he decided to stay in Oz, he had to have a type approval done plus all the relevant import duties, cost a ferkin fortune, plus he lost the 2k visa money.

like has been said, might be better to buy locally.

Sell it before you leave and buy something when you arrive - all the hassle isn't worth it - you asked for an opinion - first hand experiences have been repeated here.............
