Well, 1st off in 5 years, sodding black ice, no warning front end just went. I slid along the road, over the grass verge and into some bushes. The BMW LT wasn't too badly damaged as the crash protection worked well - I reckon ?1500-?2000 to put it right.

Be careful peeps

Oh Osprey, what a bummer (no pun intended). Glad you're okay. Did it take long for the recovery lorry to winch your Beemer back up again???:dunno: :neenaw:

Seriously though, at least you're still okay and the damage is repairable. That really is the important thing after all.

If you need any help with the repairs then give me a scream, I'm more than happy to help out!

I've used both in the past and can vouch for the second hand bits being like new. Both give good service.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the comments - at least it wasn't the Bird !!

Came into work this morning and found out that a young girl who works here is seriously ill after the car she was in crashed on black ice, and the 23yr old driver died. Puts my little escapade into prospective.

Take care all
