Bizzarre day at an MOD base

We went to visit friends today at an M.O.D. base for the first time. It was very strange. It was like one of those fenced neighbourhoods you see in america, except we had to have temporary passes with our photos printed for an hour or so. They knew exactly who we were and who we were coming to visit.
Secondly the woman's husband (who works at the base) is a tranny. He was due back on shift so was back in his work camo stuff and boots and quite man-looking! Later on my girlfriend requested that I don't go for a knob-chop. Perish the thought!

Having passes to certain very sensitive 'establishments', I'm always surprised that a quick check of the pass and look through the visor is sufficient to get me in ............... yet come back to the UK from France and it is off the bike, remove helmet and usually a few questions as to where I have been.

You wouldn't believe how sensitive some establishments are, I was walking past one & I commented "what an ugly building" & it started crying

alot depends on the grading ( L1 L2 L3 ) of the site you visit as in the type of kit they have there, and who was on the gate , if it was miliary or civi, Navy site , Army ,or RAF:wank:

Try Plymouth if you want to be stopped! When I came back a couple of months ago I warned the other riders who hadn't experienced that port before, they didn't believe me ..... we all ended having to take our lids off. It appears to be a bit of a game, the 'officer' looks at the passport, looks through the visor, re examines the passport, another look through the visor and then asks you to remove your lid! It would be preferable if they said all lids off, at least there wouldn't be so much time wasted. This has happened on the last 4 or 5 visits. Last week Plymouth had 'enhanced pasport checks' running ... 1.5 hours to get off the boat and through passport control .............. and I wasn't the last through by some way. Thank god I wasn't on the 'big boat'.

I worked at Mildenhall just after the twin towers, took me 2.5hrs to get onto base, when I asked where such a such road was I got asked which number as the new perimimeter fence cuts the road in half. you've got it my house was outside, fecking Yanks.
