Our beloved Bird has come in at a very respectable 9th place in overall Australian road bike sales for 2004.
519 new Birds took to Aussie roads last year.
The Bird edged out the Harley Davidson FLSTF by 25 units.
Honda continued its dominance of the Australian market, with sales of 25498 units beating second placed Yamaha by 3000 units.
Honda?s overall success was mirrored in the road bike category, with the Fireblade beating the R1 by 80-odd units.
Australia?s top selling bike for 2004 was, of course, the venerable CT110 ?Postie Bike?, with 2227 new red rockets blasting on to a nature strip near you.
Second place overall was taken by the Yamaha WR450F, with 1935 units getting flogged about the Aussie bush.
