Hello again Peeps- I've been 'officially' inactive for a while so I'm a new member, but I have been here before.
Just bought a 1996 bird that is in need of love & attention after the previous owner had an altercation with a van, so will be looking for front end fairing, headlight & bracket etc for this poor early carby model. Runs great, due to neglect it had several issues so I've spent 2 days sorting out all the silly bits and fixing the lugs back onto the side fairings, it's too good to break so I want to give it a new lease of life. When I've built up enough privileges I'll add the lost to the wanted section. Got to keep this war horse on the road!Untitled.jpg

Great project @Toast (y)
Shall I REALLY piss you off ?
3 weeks before Christmas, at the end of clearing out the old Jaws Motorcycles stores, a nose cone and headlight bracket went in the skip.
The nose cone had deep scratches in it but no cracks..
Sorry mate :(

Ha Ha no need to worry Jaws, bound to happen - I'll find them somewhere; been offered a couple but then can't get replies from the sellers. Will happen eventually but with snow up to t' shed door there's no immediate hurry :hmmm: - only 'in my mind' LOL. I'm very hopeful it will live again - the temptation to take it out for a blast around the local lanes is tremendous - but I think the wind rush will rip the side fairings off so sitting on my hands at the moment.

And the problem of getting smooth air flow in to the air box might stop it performing well... proly limit the top end to about 80mph

Plenty time to do something about the horrendous concrete then.

What concrete? The wood floor? So much nicer than stone to stand on all day...
Three parts left to source - nearly there now.... Might have to shell out for one of Jaws's primer nose cones soon...
(sound of Jaws rubbing his hand together)

Not me ! I retired four years ago, but if you listen carefully you can hear that sound coming from Karen, the new owner of Jaws, from up around the Wirral!

My apologies.

Should have said 'time for you to sort out the shocking midfield floor....'
