Cheers DA, I will certainly remember to enjoy it!

I'm picking up my first Bird at around 4pm tomorrow afternoon and in 7 or 8 weeks time she'll be cruising through Spain then France with a mate on a VFR800. Stopping off at an old muso friend of ours place, playing some music, drinking some beer, chilling by the lake, then up through France to Le Harvre over 3 more glorious days.... If I can't enjoy that then someone please shoot me!:-0)

I'm enjoying the build up as much as anything. New bike, route planning, what to take, what not to. Hope to do a dry run down to Tintagel to test packing, tents, bike to bike comms, etc. I like to be prepared and enjoy the planning of it all, it's nearly as much fun as the holiday itself and actually last longer as well!. Bit like the prep work in painting, get it right an that last top coat goes on perfectly.

The trick is going to be, after all the planning, letting go of it all and seeing what happens on the way.

Currently I'm bouncing off the sodding walls like a 5 year old on XMas eve.

I understand and respect what you say. You?re a biker. Just remember that your trip is a plan of intentions. As long as you make the important bits (ferry out ? ferry home), what happens in between is up to you.

When you travel by car or train, or plane that means you?re going somewhere.

When you?re travelling by bike, you?re just going?

Enjoy it..

Aye, a traveller rather than a tourist. We're both reading from the same Page :)

Nice to meet you on the ferry today and glad to hear you had a good time. What you have done is what we intend to do next year. I look forward to reading your write-up.

Cheers Dave, good to meet you too. Might take a wee while to get the write up sorted, but hope you'll like it when it's done.
