First point if call would be the wires going to the back of the ignition switch…they have been known to corrode and fall off.Hi all, my 96 bird just stopped while I was driving and everything just switched off as though you just turned it off with the key I have no power anwhere so has anyone any idea of what could be possibly wrong?
Stick another one in, disconnect the reg rec and see what happens when you try and start it. If it doesn’t blow again as above the diode has probably fried in the reg/rec. In which case a new reg/rec wil be needed I’m afraid.I checked the main fuse and it's blown.
How?I sold my blue one and day r two later main fuse blew.
He fixed it and no other problems
New fuse!!How?
Unplug the reg rec and THEN replace the fuseI checked the main fuse and it's blown.
Genius….New fuse!!
Er, how do I get my 20p?Yes it was OK when I unplugged the reg, so it's a new regulator which is not the end of the world, thanks for your replies.
