They all may work perfectly well, but it's just more junk you have to take with you. If you use your bike regally you just can't be arsed to plug them in. Enjoy your riding with out having to talk about things like ''slow down'', toilets, where yer gone, did you see that camrera, can you hear me, ''you can over take now after the white car if yer fast'',YOU BEEN THERE YOU DON IT.
Leave the bike at home save money, go in the car and chat all the way there if that's what you want.

use the pro 7 sport myself, permanently wired in as is the helmets
just walk up plug in off you go. you do have to be disciplined though, especially with bike to bike so the chat doesnt become tiresome. wouldnt be without it now but each to their own as they say.

Same thing here...

Jan says to me on Monday...

"Have you seen that nice Police helicopter which is chasing us ?????"

"Thanks" says I.

Keep your eyes on it for a bit please...So it then does 3 fly by's, just to let us know he is watching us... Good use of money there guys...We nearly went through the cockpit on his last pass, right on the brow of a fookin hill.Left to right... Right in front of us..

Spoke to a couple of bike cops at the services, and they reckon they wont talk to the "fookin posers" in the "flyin'eye"...LOL According to the bike cops, the flyboys reckon they are "above them"... ROFLMAO... even bike cops hate them...They aint alone... :f

Get an intercom... If you dont want to listen to 'er indoors, dont fookin listen...

But they can be very useful..

Cheers, and have fun,

Rolfy

Bought

the Autocom Pro 7 two years ago.
Great.
Took all summer to get the fine tuning right.
Not so great.
Novelty wore off, couldn't be arsed to plug and in REMEMBER to unplug before getting off the bike, so it's now back in the box.
Great.
No more, "testing, Testing, can you here me, did you see that...slow down... stop I want to go home"
Great.
More thumps in the back now though.
Not so great.
On balance more greats than not so greats so it's staying in the box.

Have to differ....

Have a Pro 7 sport. Found it very easy to set up and use. Are you sure the mics are the right way round? Its not that obvious which side is the front. I use the system in a Nolan 100 flip up jobby. Works even with the front up at moderate speeds.

Autocom update

Used the Pro 7 sport this weekend and I've changed my mind.
No problems and Carol likes it.
So from now on we'll be using it every trip.

Yep.
It really is a good bit of kit.
It was my impatience that was the problem.
Anyway, it's sorted now, so sorry not for sale

See you out & about.
Don't tell F'Bert but I might make it over to Matlock, Friday.

so pleased you sorted the Autocom. Knew Carol would like it!

Speaking as a 'mere pillion' I have ridden with and without and the addition of the ol' speaking tube changes the experience from just being a hanger-on or a spectator while my husband engages in one of his hobbies - to being part of the action, so to speak.

Although the scenery is interesting and that - being on the back can actually be - oh hang it why be diplomatic? - as boring as hell, just sat there on yer own with nothing to do and no-one to talk to!

or, heres a better idea, the rider can disconnect his end of the com link, attatch a mobile phone to the Autocom unit and let the wife talk to someone else and let you get on and enjoy your ride :)

Actually my wife is pretty much in agreement, and the Autocom does the buisness, with cheaper units its hard to even hear her screaming at 100MPH, with the autocom her screams can be heard clearly all the way up to 160 (mph mot decibles)
