Looks like a good grouping. Over what distance...?
50 metres with telescopic
Had a few shots with an Enfield. 303.
Some bang and a kick compared to .22

Last time was a year ago.
Never had a gun.

Even from my limited knowledge that looks pretty impressive from 50m.

Last weapon I fired was a Bren Gun in the Army Cadets. The main objective with that was to kick up as much dirt as possible rather than hit the target, far more satisfying.

This the only pic of gun.
.22 as in brass casing - don't have vocabulary.

Talking to son who was in reserve says Bren used same .303. Said you had to hold tight for recoil and then to stop it going forward.

That was ages ago. The Bren was rechambered for 7.62 NATO in the 50's. On open sights and prone, you could get far better groupings with a Bren than an SLR.

That was about 20 yrs ago - as a reserve I'm guessing they were using older Brens which handn't been modified.

this side :sniper::para: :jaja-no:

Maybe reservists on your side were given .303 Brens to play with, then.
Reservists over here about the same time were probably getting a second hand pick axe handle and instructions in how to say "bang" effectively. ;)

Nice grouping over 50m, I used to be able to do close to that with open sights (prone) with a .22 now I cant see the target well enough or get comfortable for long enough to even get close :(

We visited friends in Denver last summer, when he opened his gun cabinet, I thought he was preparing for WW3 !!
And he always carried a concealed weapon everywhere he went ...... I hadn’t realised until near the end of our stay !!
Plus he had weapons hidden in every room in the house .... WTF !! why ??
Just in case he had replied
In case of what ???

Just had to have a little play with his toys tho !
Dirty Harry Magnum, police issue pistol, pump action shotgun and a modified AK47 ....
Even my eldest had a go with the AK47.
