Folks, some help please.

Has anybody heard of an outfit called "Best of the Rest"...? They run competitions to win very expensive cars and suchlike. I came across one of their stands in the departure lounge area at Gatwick a little while ago, and bought a ticket (?50) to win an M3.

I've now been told that the whole thing is a scam and nobody ever wins the car (or whatever the prize might be). Now I would have thought that BAA would have checked out their credentials before allowing them on their patch. Their website looks posh enough but websites are quite anonymous, so that don't really tell much.

But bigger outfits than BAA have fallen for scams, sooooo -

Has anybody heard anything...? Does anybody know about this Company...?
What's the word on the street...?

Cheers
:dunno:

I did a bit of research into this myself when returning from my trip in December. For obvious reasons I'm unable to disclose my source of information, however you might be interested to know that it's no scam and there are winners. However let's just say that the company behind this "promotion" are not insignificant and given the length of time this "promotion" has been running and the volume of traffic through Gatwick and Heathrow (also participating in this draw), the prizes will be paid for several times over. However, you do have a chance of winning an M3, although a wiser investment might of been 50 National Lottery tickets! All the best

... Cheers for the information mate. I feel a bit better now, - don't you just hate the notion that you might have been ripped off by some rich b*stud.

I had an idea of their declared profits at least. They did'nt appear to be concealing that.

The M3 spec ( convertable, SMG Paddle shift etc, etc) meant a price tag of around ?50,000 and the draw was gonna take place on 2,100 tkts being sold. So a profit of around 100% - nice work if you can get it!

All the best (if you'll pardon the pun)
