Since there seems to have been a raft of 'best' threads in my absence, what's your favourite duff?* For me, it's rhubarb crumble.

Note to Dezza - I'm aware that a duff is a steamed pudding. However, when I was at sea, 'duff' was the blanket word for any type of dessert, whether it was a proper duff, ice cream, crepes, sponge, cake, whatever.

I'm off-the-scale-allergic to eggs, so no baked Alaska and no meringue for me. In fact, I have to very careful with most duff and when I'm flying, I always carry chocolate as I can very seldom eat the duffs on planes as they almost always contain eggs. On our cruise just now, the maitre d in our restaurant arranged me egg-free duff every night.

Cheesecake. If we're out for a meal and there's cheesecake on the menu then I'll invariably go for that.
Best one I've had in ages was in The Forge restaurant on the Isle of Man, last month.
