How did this odious person get to become the Speaker of the House?
Why is the Speaker apparently all powerful and untouchable?
Isnt the Speaker supposed to be impartial?
Why isnt there a concerted effort from the government to get him replaced?
Or is it all a ruse...When in reality all sides of the house are happy for him to
further hamstring Brexit negotiations until ultimately we give up and remain in the EU?

Or is he just telling Theresa to quit trying to negotiate & leave without a deal?
It is what we voted for after all.

I rather like the bloke, and his comments on the brexet vote are a matter of process, not content. Regardless of what the vote is for he is just saying you can't keep raising the same thing and hoping for a different answer.

The whole thing could backfire on the little scumbag....it could lead to the situation that a No Deal as the only option left and then he'd be the most hated man in Europe. Here's hoping.

He's conveniently contradicted himself recently. First he said that historical precedents don't need to be adhered to, now he's quoting a very old one.

Get stuffed.:flipa:

The fact that I think the exit vote is a mistake of gargantuan proportions hasn't at any stage made me think and say anything other than acknowledge the outcome and want to see it implemented.

More to the point, I am sick to the back teeth of 'remainers' being blamed for the whole situation (mess) and every unresolved detail around Brexit. A democratic vote was held that inevitably created an incredibly complex and novel situation, get over it and try and sort it out.

In every face to face conversation I've been involved in about Brexit where there are Remainers present they (and they alone) are the ones that start foaming at the mouth at the "injustice" of it all.
I think most of us who voted Leave have been remarkably patient while this whole process has been played out. If this had happened in France, for example, then there would have been rioting in the streets by now.

P.S. In my opinion it's not a mistake to break free from a situation where your freedoms and identity are being eroded by a faceless beaurocracy which has no basis in democracy and is blatantly out of control.

It was pointed out to me that all decisions in EU are voted on by the parliament in which UK has members. Therefore it is democratic.

Just because we have members doesn’t make it democratic.
Ok here’s the proposal, UK pays more into the EU than anyone else, votes for, everybody bar the UK, votes against, just the UK, motion carried, same with immigration & everything else, we have been the whipping boys for too long & we don’t just want out, we need out.

It's more than that. The whole EU machine needs to collapse and be done away with. The whole point of it was for free trade not a United States of Europe.

Personally i think it is inevitable that the EU will collapse in the next five/ten years as the 'richer' members will have to stump up more to support the 'poorer' members, some who have shown little inclination to address the fundamental issues in their economies.

We don't have any say on who these MEPs are so how can that be democratic...?

Sorry but what you have failed to realise is that most of us here are not having a go at those like yourself who mistakenly wish to remain in the eu you are of course entitled to an opinion as much as I personally believe it to be wrong

The real issue is that its the remainers such as may & her cronies that are blatantly NOT getting on with the job that the country voted for, while you still support that bunch of pocket lining inbred idiots you can expect some gentle flack

I don't vote for any of these f*ckwits and I don't believe anyone wants the Kinnock clan representing their interests in Europe, so gawd knows how they managed to get their snouts into the EU trough. Then there's the other 27 countries MEPs. We have no say on that and as we've seen recently there's more than a few who are taking vindictive delight in twisting the Brexit knife while they can.
There's nothing democratic about the EU. It's a borderline dictatorship.
