Working from home today, so had my breakfast in front of BBC Breakfast after the gym before cracking on with some work.

On comes the sport which, unsurprisingly, started with poofball. Then it went on about Rory McIlroy winning over the weekend, fair enough. Then, they spent twice as long on f'ing women's poofball and did the draw for the semis of the women's FA Cup. And that was that. No mention of the Six Nations nor the start of the F1 season.

Absolute bunch of liberal, left-wing, snowflake, cock monkeys.

Why would they want to mention F1????

Aside from Bill's point, there's also the small matter of Lewis Hamilton who might just win his sixth world title. Love him, hate him or supremely indifferent, it cannot be denied that he's not bad at his day job.

I also can't help thinking that it would have been a different matter if England had one the Grand Slam, or indeed the Six Nations title. However, given that it was Wales that won the Grand Slam (and I don't doubt for one second that it would have been the same deathly silence had Ireland or Scotland won), it wasn't deemed newsworthy.

Boring but true - on BBC the British golfer who was winning was Irish the following day when he was losing - long time ago.
Nothing much changes.

Same as Andy Murray; British when he wins and Scottish when he doesn't.

Another thing that the BBC do that fecks me off big time..... roughly 12% of the UK population is black or brown skinned, or somewhere in the vicinity of.

So why is it that whenever they do a school story they go out of their way to find a school that has just one white kid in the class..?
Are they deliberately trying to provoke the right wing extremists...? :BangHead:

That’ll narrow it down to every state school in London and Birmingham then.

The area I live in doesn’t have many non white families, round the corner lives a sikh family who pay for home education for their children, in my daughter’s street lives a chinese family, both kids go to same school as my Grandkids, when doing the school run I can see there are only a couple of black kids.
There is a teaching assistant who stands at the school gates to close them at five to nine so anyone arriving later gets a late mark.
This teaching assistant was overheard discussing a recent board of Governors meeting where it was motioned that they need to attract more Asian & black children, where from? Local kids are finding it hard enough to get into the school of their choice so are they going to miss out as they spread their catchment area?
The school by the way is St John the baptist C of E school, clue is in the name I think.

Kids of African/Caribbean descent shouldn't be an issue as there's an enormous amount of those guys that are either Christians or not bothered about religion. However, when using the blanket term 'Asians' then there's going to be a problem because a significant proportion will be Muslim.

If I was a parent, the thing that would bother me about wanting kids in school of foreign background would be those whose mother tongue is not English. I hear that they hold back the English speaking kids because they can't keep up.

F1 used to be a good watch now it is boreing, they only seem to be able to get past one another when someone pits, very little over taking other wise. Much prefer touring cars :kitt-kit:

Why do they need to attract more asian & black kids...? Another tick box exercise, or do they get grants for it..?

If roughly 12% of the country is non-white (and assuming that UK kids have the same percentages) then how are they going to "diversify" every school in the country...cloning...?

Exactly also take into consideration this is only one of three schools in the area, I do know that the school that took in the child from the Syrian family were struggling due to the amount of time trying to teach the kid to speak English amongst other things, having said that I have not seen the family for about a year & they were always in or around the local Asda.

I think school based translator would be a good career move at the moment. ;)
What pisses me off most is the comments we've made so far would (if we were on Farcebook or Twatter) , in all likelihood, have us branded as racist.

Sheikh Mohammed Ali Makhtoum was the richest man in the World, he had studied at Leeds University & became a regular attender at Elland road watching Leeds United.
In 1992 he made a substantial offer to buy Leeds United, he was rebuffed simply because the board at the time consisted of Leslie Silver & Bill Fotherby who were Jews & would not sell to an Arab.

Several years later I was on a Leeds United forum & I mentioned the above fact, I then found myself banned from the site with no explanation, I sent an email to the main administrator via a friend’s computer asking for an explanation, I was told that I had been banned because of my racist views, the thick twat couldn’t understand that I was quoting fact not opinion.

Trust me , Wales winning the rugby was all over the BBC in Wales....even had a never ending special programme on Monday night from The Millenium Stadium showing them parading the trophy.

I was hacked off as the farming programme was cancelled as a result.
