The lens assembly is two pieces held together by non-hardening sealant. After slowly disassembling them with a couple of screw drivers I taped up the OUTSIDE of the lens then took some standard gloss black spray paint and and lightly sprayed the inside of the lens untill i got the desired tint(I think it ws 2-3 coats). Then I sealed up the lens with silicone sealant and placed it back into the bike. I was quite pleased with the results, more so than I had anticipated.R#?


EDITOH! if I had read your subject line I would have known you meant the lenses and not the bike!! :cry:

I will try to find some black tinting laquer or something similar. If not, then black paint it is. Do you still use standard bulbs , or did you up the wattage to keep the light intensity?

Tell the truth now........you dropped it, couldn't afford the respray, found the red graphics on E-Bay, and thought we wouldn't notice !!!!!!! :} :}

Looks OK ('ish) !!!!!

weeell that is true kinda...didnt drop it but panels were scuffed up to begin with thus the graphics...It is different tho...
