About 3-4 coats, just got to give it a good rub when it's hard :-: to get the small bits of dust outBluey said:Looks tidy,do you laquer it after ? or already done
Best bit of advice....Buy all your paint/lacquer from the same place. It saves your fingers bleeding from all the rubbing down. Painted the tank three times.........sh1tehppnsogr1 said:Very very nice indeedy..........
Will you be posting a step by step guide for future reference?
Would come in handy for us budding artists thinking of a DIY respray :-0)
Cheers Brian. It's ordinary car paint, but Halfords sell a petrol resistant lacquer to put on the fuel tank. I haven't used it myself, I've used the ordinary stuff, so it looks like I'll have to be a bit careful filling up !brian willetts said:Looks a lot better in black, what type of paint is it as when i painted a bike years ago with rattel cans as soon as i got petrol on it it melted the paint, asking this as i want to paint my lads bike.:yo:
