You'll like this Back running !

Well after the old girl passed her MOT in August had a few issues that I needed to sort out. Before the MOT I got a new Fuel Carbon Exhaust fitted but with the other issues I couldn't actually run it without the baffles in, but I have now!
Basically after we got back from Holiday in August, the I got the new exhaust, first thing to die was the Alternator, luckily not until we got home though !
So with a lot of online advice I installed a new alternator and at the same time upgraded the Rec/Reg with one that is powered so that was all installed and ran perfectly (so thanks to everyone who helped point me in the right direction for the upgraded Rec/Reg) So that weekend I went for a little run and within a mile of home, she died again ! This time felt like it ran out of petrol so checked the hoses to the valve and all seemed fine so assumed the valve must be blocked so got it recovered to Aberdeen where they found that although the vacuum hose was fitted and clamped ok, the damn thing was perished so although it looked ok it was leaking like a sieve ! I finally got her back all sorted this week and this is the first time I have managed to get her outside and fired up because of the crap weather. I think this exhaust is brilliant and Damien and Louise at FUEL EXHAUSTS were great to meet and have a coffee and blether with Louise while Damien did all the hard work ! This is the first time I've had chance to get her fired up and now alls well, looking forward to getting a few more runs !!
So just a short video to share the luv !!

'It' not 'she' or 'her'.

Glad to hear you are sorted.

I have been banging on about replacing the vacuum hose for a long time now - the OEM is, in my opinion too short and easily gets stretched/dislodged every time the tank is removed. It's in a pretty hostile environment so is bound to have deteriorated over the years.

For the sake of a quid or so of tubing it's good preventative maintenance in my view.

If anyone has leftover bits from fitting a Scotoiler the clear plastic tube that is probably left over is a perfect fit.
