Same here. The sea mist rolls in dramatically sometimes and closes the place down in minutes. A fatal move was installing ‘stainless’ curtain poles too. Two years later the part closest to the window (open window at night) was rusting. That said it’s pleasant by the sea bar the grockles that come and go but fail to fill the bins and leave crap everywhere over the weekend/s. The shed was a bargain at the time but I guess it has maxed out on both value and it’s ability to act as a seawater sponge.

One if the nice things on the seafront here is that there is four miles of promenade from seaford to Newhaven with nothing to entertain visitors other than a couple of coffee shacks, an ice cream van and a couple of public conveniences. No amusement arcades, not even a pub. We do get a lot of visitors who just want to enjoy the (stony) beach or go walking across the cliffs, which is really spectacular. What we don't get is the visitors who just want to have a skinful and spoil it for everyone else.

Sounds very similar Andy. We have the coastline on the South of Hayling. Again a stony beach unless down by the sandbar which is stunning. It’s the food rubbish they leave on the beach and the hot disposable bbq tat that smoulders for hours after they have left. No amusements or such crap. A pleasant seafront train but a very 80s type small fair at one end which is (fortunately) due for burial. Retirement homes seem to be compulsory builds around here !

Er, excuse me, look back and see who changed the direction of the thread.

No need for the facts to get in the way of having a pop though, eh....:p

    No, you’re wrong. Again. :naughty:

You raised my hovel first at post 41. At post 36, I simply said that it was my office car park where my beige motorised bicycle was parked.
