Well, self-employed, apparently. Got a call Friday before last asking if I could do a couple of days for the company at Kemble who want to employ me when they can afford it. Went in the first day, and they asked if I could do a third as well. Then I suggested that I could start part-time, if it helped, as they are not fully trading yet so funds are still short. But they said they wanted me to carry on full-time.
Bit of a shock to the system after a 10 week 'holiday', especially as I was only expecting to do 2 days and had left the gardening to carry on after that!
However, they want me to invoice them and they'll pay me from an offshore company, less 3%. They reckon I won't have to pay tax on it, but I know better than that. You work in the UK, you pay tax. If any bright spark can think of a way around it, let me know as they've reduced the rate they originally talked about by ?2/hour!
