I Read a thread on here a little while ago about sky charging for a new digi box when it had gone tit's up.
A reply was put on here saying tell them you'll cancel the contract,
within the months notice period you'd get a call asking to stay with them and they would supply a new box foc.
Well my sky box is playing up so I phoned them only to be told that there would be a service charge of ?65 plus any parts needed.
I explained that I'd been a sky customer since the mid 80's and had upgraded last march to sky plus so over the years they'd had a lot of money off me
the system was only 13 months old one month out of warranty.Remembering the thread I said if I was going to be charged they could cancel my subs right now.
A bit of oh ah um and please hold the line.
Manager then comes on the phone very nearly begging me to stay with them.
They would have an engineer out asap to my convenience(this saturday)
and it would be all foc no matter what was needed result or wot
