Tony from Belgium said:Just had my first ride in the rain with my 'bought at the bash' Avons, and I have to admit, they sometimes scared the shit out of me. Back wheel spinning at 65 mph or everytime your heavy on the gas.
This was during a club rideout, and some members had a nickname for them: Savons, meaning 'soap' in French, I can only agree with them.
I'm not too bothered though, because I'm not really a wet weather rider and they are pretty good on dry roads.
Nuff said.. %$fan

A small number of people have different probs in the wet - suddenly is a mjor disaster?
Yeah right!
Throttle control - road conditions - suspension setup - luggage attached - tyre pressures - rider ability.......................
All add to the equation of grip
Ride the Via Gellia route with me sometime one Sunday morning [Via Gellia route is reknowned Derbyshire Mountain route with streams running across the road at times - iffy drainage and trees hanging over the road for 70% of it]
Then when we've ridden it 6 times back to back - guarantee every time will have different places where the boots let go - even the all Mighty 020's
Any takers?
I'll even buy the fecking breakfasts afterwards
Decocracy?
Yeah right!
