Finally after months of looking at blackbirds i have aquired one! :yo:
Its a 2002 in black (of course) with a chequered flag paint job down the sides and over the tank. Pictures will follow tomorrow, i've been too busy showing it off to take any today!
Its somewhat different from my vstrom 650 thats for sure.....first words out of my mouth on the way home from the shop was FOOK ME! :-: Can anyone say power??? :}

And while im here, i keep burning my right leg on the exhaust when i get on for some reason. Ruined my expensive textile bottoms lastnight and i keep doing it. :bang: Is there any heat sheild material that is available to prevent this from happening, its cos im a short arse i think! :dunno:

Never got my leg close to the exhaust getting on - and I am short too!! how far back are you standing?

Did you but that from Mission in Bletchley? I took a look at that one but ended up with an 06 bike from Dobles. I am in MK too so if you fancy a ride together some time, let me know (I am slow though!)

Yes i did, they had an 05 plate one in when i first went to look at them but it was slightly out of my price range. This one had been in there for two months, i was intending to sell my old bike privately but im an impatient bugger.:dunno:
Im also pretty slow! :blush: One ban and im as good as fired. Im over in Kents hill at the bottom of milton keynes, and i'll be using the bike daily to get to work in kiln farm by going down the A5D.:yo:

I am in Furzton but shortly moving to Oxley Park. Use mine daily for a short run. Love every moment (even n the rain) though could do with a new front tyre for a bit more confidence in the wet.

Mind your right hand on the A5! It is so easy to hit warp speed on the bird with a bit of clear road. Most of the time I find I am using only a small fraction of the revs available and still breaking speed limit most of the time.

NB1, that bike does bear a passing resemblance to mine!!

From the side yours almost looks like a shark I think..
