It has felt like an eternity but in truth it has just been a mere 11 days that my bike has been off the road.

A while ago I asked about getting the forks resprayed. 2nd Feb, I took the plunge and started the job. Today, the bike went back together and all is well!

For those that are interested I have sprayed them Vauxhall White Gold. Degreased, sanded down with 400, 800 and 1200 paper, three coats white primer, seven coats paint and seven coats of lacquer later, the finished result.....

Very nice bubba

I intend doing the same with mine. thing is, when the weather looks good to do some painting. I thinks its a good day for a ride.

So end up riding it instead of painting it!

Who wants to bet the forks on my bike will be in the same state next year?

Do you want to paint my forks for me?

Phil, its a 99 T reg, X model.

Dave, Errrrr.................................................No, I dont think so but I do think that your forks will look like mine did! Unless its a post 2001 model, they have painted forks already

Yes, it is 2002 with painted crinkle type finish which at the time of buing the bike I thought would last better than previous models.
I have bought paint but just cant get it to the top of priorities.

No, they are not as bad as your pics show.

Same thing happend today, rather ride 100 miles than painting.

Your calipers could do with some TLC!
