or are they on commission.
As part of my annual medical review (Diabetes) , I have a blood test twice a year & have to have my blood pressure checked. I had a review in February this year & as I'd also had a letter about sending in my blood pressure, suggesting I buy a blood pressure monitor from the (attached) pharmacy, I asked the nurse to check my blood pressure as well.
In March, I get a letter asking me to forward my blood pressure results & to buy a machine (available from their pharmacy) if I didn't have one. I ignored it.
At the end of March, I get a text asking me to submit my blood pressure reading with a link to a suitable blood pressure monitor (available from their pharmacy) so now I'm diffing my heels in even though they're only £25.
In April, they changed the way they conduct their health reviews and they now have their annual review dates to coincide with the month of your birth.
I get a letter asking me to make an appointment to have a blood test and a second letter about submitting my blood pressure (if you don't have a blood pressure monitor, they are available from our pharmacy). I made an appointment for a blood test & while there asked the nurse to take my blood pressure, which she did.
A week later i get a letter asking me to make an appointment for a blood test and to let them know what my blood pressure was (slowly rising is what it was), with the usual plug for the ones they sell. I phone the surgery and say I did this the previous week. the answer, they didn't do all the tests they wanted to & there's no up to date note re my blood pressure (& up it goes again).
Yet another appointment made for a blood test, one week ago & while I was there I had my blood pressure taken again.
4th May, I get a text about submitting my blood pressure and today, I get yet another letter about submitting my blood pressure reading & suggesting I buy a monitor, available from their pharmacy.
makes my blood boil...
I've just had a letter
