Not sure if this, should be on here or Help Section.... Mods if you need to move it...

Need a bit of advice on Pay Pal please. The other half sold an item for a decent sum last Tuesday. The seller paid straight away and it was dispatched and received by the buyer. She has left feedback and is more than happy with the purchase.

The funds are now sat on the other half's account and showing as being on hold for another week.

So my question is.....is there a way to speed up the process of transferring the money.... They're sitting on a substantial amount of cash that is doubtless earning them some interest.

Thanks in anticipation

Bev set up a hew ebay account after being hacked, she sold several items & paypal withheld her money, they said they would release the money after 14 days , two weeks later, no sign of the money, she rang them up & they said they were hanging on to it as she had given them a false email address, sh asked them to explain how emails from ebay were getting through to her, for some reason they had part of her email address as o16 instead of 016, their fault, not Bev’s, she eventually got her money minus massive fees after about five weeks.

There is numerous ways that paypal can collect the money from the buyer and it is probably dependant on which method has been selected by the buyer.
I know recently that my daughter while not having done anything differently her payments have gone through as E'cheques and she has had to wait for them to clear before the seller would release the goods.
Possibly one for our resident banker to explain.

The last item I sold had the money released after the buyer left positive feedback. I don't sell much and I think my restrictions are lifted after 25 successful sales which is still a good way off.

Everything paid via eBay now comes straight to my bank account and not via PayPal.

What is an E-cheque?
Google is your friend...........................sometimes !!

An electronic cheque. It is drawn on the payees (buyers) bank account in the same way as an ordinary cheque. Therefore it can bounce. Can take up to 10 days to clear.

So roughly what I thought but we don't understand why they have been used. Paypal account set up to draw from bank account, funds in bank account, so why does paypal then give the seller an E-cheque?
Doesn't make sense!

If the money is showing in her account and Paypal have put it on hold the only way to speed up the release process is to add a tracking number to show its been delivered.
