Another mileage question

I'm going to the Ring in June and am toying with the idea of travelling down to see an old mate of mine in mid France. I dont want to run on motorways and have asked Autoroute to give me directions. Its given me a distance of 603 miles with a driving time of nearly 14 hours using national and D roads. I have had a quick look in the Premiere hotel book and its giving me one at about 350 miles in Auxerre.

So what do you seasoned tourers think? Do I try to do the 600 miles in one day or take my time and overnight in Auxerre?

If it were me and time was not a problem I'd split it and include the overnight.

I'd go for the overnight stop.

Do the 600 miles in a day and you would be tempted to tell your old mate to piss-off and go straight to bed nackered.

350 miles Off-Piste is a decent ride and the following day you should arrive suitable relaxed to meet your old mate.
