Here's the link to pictures from the Alps & Dolomites, a great holiday which was going really well, until I had a momentary lapse in concentration and hit some sand on the side of the road on a corner and the holiday ended fairly quickly... annoying really, as I had been flying around the roads the previous days, but this day I was just ambling along...

Just bruising, but the worst I've had from an accident on my bike. I'm still here though, which is the main thing - thanks for the compliment.

Hey you've got some stunning photos there (excluding the feet!) just made me remember what I missed out on this year.
Hope you and the bike mend quickly.

We're staying at a town called Feltre on the southern edge of the Dolomites. Travelled across France, Germany and Austria staying in Alsace, Lake Constanz and Seefeld. Weather has been scorching but not so good at the moment. Rode some Dolomite passes last Friday and Sunday just passed. Loads of bikes, mainly Germans. Enjoyed the riding but I got to admit that swinging the Blackbird 2-up with luggage around loads of tight 360s is a bit of a work out for me. Tools of choice are short wheel base super motos, Honda hornets, etc. Got overtakenby an Italian on a Speed Triple who had the knack.

Never ridden in Italy before and it seems to be a case of 'when in Rome ...". Speed limits and no overtaking lines are advisory it seems. Got overtaken by a cement mixer! Italian driving is something to see.
