Children starving to death, parents selling their children because they can no longer look after them, this is life in Afghanistan, the World bank holds £billions but won’t release any in case it’s not used to feed the starving, surely they could use the money to buy food parcels & medicines etc & designate a team to oversee that it goes to the right places.

We can't even keep coppers on our UK streets, doubt wether we can afford armed escorts for every war torn country we seem to stick our fat noses in.

I have massive sympathy for the Children but it’s not the Children that are hitting our shores, it’s the cowards & chancers that are prepared to desert their families.

Only one way to stop starvation in other countries and that as distasteful as it is is to let nature take it course to the point where the population is kept naturally at a level that the country in question can sustain

Apart from that sod sending money goods or food overseas, there are people here in the uk in need of immediate help and we cant help others for any length of time as is needed until our own country is on a stable footing which it most surely isn't presently ..... if we kept to that rule for 10 years we would be able to offer direct and substantial effective help for a good period of time and back it up with all the support measures needed instead of continuing the current ineffective dribs and drabs that get swallowed up by corruption and mismanagement

Given the taliban history I do not see what other option there is
There are many aid agencies offering to help out with tons of food, but the regime turned them away.. Now about the only organisation willing to fly in the the Red Cross

All that would do is encourage people to relocate to better tax environments and move assets and investments out of the country. Squash entrepreneurship, quench progress and generally make a lot of people thing ‘what’s the point’.

He has asked and been refused permission to pay for police protection while visiting the UK (the authorities are say plod is not a service that can be hired) and he is challenging this in court.
