My appologies to one and all for being a bit tetchy of late..
I have a raging toothache and cannot get to see a dentist for at least 2 ruddy months.. ( I want it OUT.. not a filling ! )
Am currently living on asprin, but it is making me a bit errr.... short with folk !

go to the local A&E, they will refer you to a NHS dentist within the hospital, if they have one.

Worked for me

Meanwhile stick a clove on your bad tooth and bite, acts as an anaesthetic - or alternatively try that c7u8

You can by a little bottle of clove oil from a health food shop and keep rubbing it on the offending tooth.............works very well but only lasts 10 minutes before you need to rub a bit more on

Wait till after hours, find out where your local emergency dentist is, give him/her a call tell them you are in agony, they will more than likely fit you straight in and pull it for you (the tooth) or is there a local dental school in your area, they'll do it for free.

They HAVE to treat you John, if you're in an unreasonable amount of pain......... they just HAVE to. That's the rules. Go back and tell 'em this!

Cloves or clove oil work well temporarilly, better still is soluble asprin - disolve 4 in just a little water, making a thin paste rather than liquid, rest in mouth over offending area... it's brilliant, acts as a local anaesthetic and lasts a good while too!

4 is best for strength, but don't swallow it - too much in one go!

John, I think you're missing the point here! Your own dentist MUST treat you if you're in pain. Simple as that!

Try Kapake, you will have to get this on perscription; it has codine (I think 30mg) and is very effective once it's loaded in your system, once I got to the second dose the pain started to go down quite a lot.

Can't guarentee about becoming reasonable though!!

Ahhh,, Rob, you are presuming I have a dentist !

Last time I went to the dentist was 12 years ago.. The time before that 21 years ago !
The original chap gave up dentistry and is now a member of equity and is now often seen playing bit parts on telly ( Anthony or Tony Walton is his name ).. then the latest chap was a S A and has returned to Jo'burg to get into politics !

So I simply have no dentist to take to task at the moment as far as I know .

You can buy co-codamol 8/500 as paracodol in the chemist.

Assuming you're otherwise fit and healthy you can also buy ibuprofen 200mg or 400mg.You can take both together. If you have other illnesses ask the pharmacists advice.
Your GP can prescribe co-codamol 30/500 "kapake" is one of the brand names.
You may need to see him and cry on his shoulder...
If it's an infection antibiotics can help temporarily

Aint worried about the pain Ian.. aint no pain to speak of I know.. When the last one came out years ago I was, quite frankly amazed !

Oh and Coggy.. to get to see the doctor is a week.. I can see a 'nurse' if I wait... the same fookin nitwit of a woman that cost me 700 quid hike in insurance thanks to being unable to take a BP reading properly.. I did get my money back but NOT an appology from the arsehead woman, and now I have on an insurance record somewhere that I am a high risk due to excess blodd pressure . No doubt that little gem will come back and bite me in years to come !
