Great to see you and 'Betty' again - glad the Bird didn't let you down on the way home.

What do you mean -

(quote)Fantastic roads with (er...) "varying surface conditions" (unquote)

You were lucky it was only cow shit mate - a bloke were telling me on Sunday he was riding (I think it must have been oop North on t' moors somewhere) and he came round this bend and found himself oop to 'is neck in elephant dung - that must have been terrible for the poor chap.

Anyway by the time the 'Whipper In' got there, you had kindly dispersed most of the detritus on the road for us (Jaws, that's with a small 'd' ; not "Detritus" - I should think hitting him would be almost like hitting a brick wall at 47 mph LOL) and as you know, our bike was in just as pristine condition when we arrived back, as it was when we started.

(I do hope no-one let it set; otherwise some of the Massif could be starting a new category in the 'which colour goes fastest?' debate - Pebbledashed! You see - it was a good job it was precipitating persistently, wasn't it?)

Hope to see you both again soon

Jenny & Pete

...Honestly, Pete... when tellin' t' tale o'th elephants, I never got t' WUSS part, when we drew near t' Blackpool.

F' THEE-er, on't' roa-oad...were a beached WHALE (o'the Blue variety as I recall)...and that were when th'accident appened! :eek: Still...all t'bits o' fish went nicely wi' 't' chips an' we 'ad a fair few beers an' a singsong abaht it after!

But you try tellin' t' youngsters a true story like that these days...an' they do-on't believe you y' kno-ow....

...they bluddy do-on't!!!! :bang:

Ride Safe, M8.

Hope to see you & Sweet-Jen soon!

I seem to recall that incident with the whale if my memory serves me correctly wasn't that when the locals were going into 't chippy and asking for a piece of battered whale and a ferkin.

The person I feel sorry for is Tracy, after Gary decided to play dung football on route I bet he made her clean it all off his bike when they got back. Don't worry Tracy, it's all green and recycled:}
