We've used this caf? as a break point on a number of occasions over last year but Kit was amazed when the woman who runs it asked if we'd been before, and when Kit told her that we had a few times last year she asked if we'd been part of the big party that had had the Australian guy with them and who had had a hot chocolate with marshmallows? Obviously Skippy does make an impression!

Good to see the weather was kind and the old bones were up to a decent ride while I was sleeping off last nights shift :violin:  :xm

Keep it up M8 won't be long and you will be putting in the marathon efforts again.

So we've decided

it's the caviar, washed down with a nice bottle of their finest bubbly,

Or should we settle for the bacon butties?

Well

after what was posted as an impromptu ride-out, at short notice (sorry Bertie) we had 10 bikes with 14 peeps turn up.
Big welcome to our latest honorary Clogger - Gypsy ( who's really one of us at heart, originally coming from Blackpool)
With some brilliant weather, we had a good mix of roads and managed a brisk 'pace'. Plenty of stops for food, drinks and talk.

Don't know about the rest of you, but Sandra and myself had a really good day out.

the last stop of the day was at Caton. Last brews, and directions of those heading to the motorway. See ya all again (soon) :yo:

Cracking day out

Thanks to John and Sandra for a top day out, thanks to everybody else who turned up.
But I think the biggest cheer has got to go to Clive, well done matey.
On the leg over the tops to Settle when you were behind me, some parts were very tight and technical, but you were there all the way.

See you all soon.

Thanks!!

Big thanks to John & Sandra for leading the day at a very good pace and taking us on some good technical tarmac.
A big well done and again thanks to Clive and especially Kit (for getting on it with you!)
Good company all day and sensible riding, quick but safe..
The day could not have been better for my liking and once i'd re-adjusted my rear shock the BB even stopped trying to buck me off!! (too much Boing).
Even the local plod were having a crack with us at one point (just hope my pic of them pushing the traffic car comes out) :m

See ya'll very soon..

Memory prize......

I've decided to reward Gypsy a memory prize for remembering me from something like 28yrs ago!

It was a bit of a classic really, at the start of the conversation (if I recall correctly, my memory is crap) when we were trying to work out where he may know me from he uttered something along the lines of "I know you from somewhere.........I used to be a copper over in Blackpool". Instant paranoia decended on my part, Blackpool is where much of my mis-spent youth took place!
