I was considering a funky paint job along the lines of the one below

but with this one to trick up, a track bike and a new girlfriend to maintain, it's all a bit much :dunno: :}

I was tempted to remove the fairing, but I'll need it come the glorious day Wolfie when we lead the TPF into battle and fight against the evil WAW. Besides, it would be a bit of a turbulant sofa without one :} and if everything was based on looks then where would you & I be :dunno:

I would have liked to have tried the Bird with a spacer, but I was so happy with the way it handled after having the rear set up properly, I couldn't see the point in tweaking it any further. To be honest, the peg scraping on the Bird didn't bother me, untill the scrape became a dig :rolleyes: :}
When I test rode the Fazer I knew peg scraping would be easy and I knew the suspension was a weakness (all the reports comment on both), but the engine and brakes are fantastic. So, rearsets and better suspension were included in the budget and given the Aprilia Tuono (my other choice) was ?1.5k dearer, I'm still quids in and have a more reliable machine with better after sales service than the Tuono. Both are important to me given that this is my road bike, one that gives me sportbike performance (and handling now!) in a more comfortable set-up (sounds like the punch line of an add? :})
