There was I browsing some site when all of a sudden I discovered some spiteful prick had desposited this file on my hard disk without me knowing - honest officer.

Its a 7.8 M byte PDF file. What should I do with it?

Certainly A 'Must Have'..........

Cos when you've buggered up a job on the bike completely you can go and look at how it should have come apart !!!!!!:}

And you have all the part numbers to hand to give to the local Honda dealer to replace all the bits that you've knackered !!!:}

Put it in the downloads section so we can all be prepared if anyone else puts it on our harddrives

For all of the surfers out there

As we are all web wise---- Can you please tell us all which site to avoid... So I dont make the same mistake and download this file..!

I spend many hours Surfing (Im 'doing research' and 'work' as I keep telling the missus)

And just on the off chance I would not want to fall foul of copyright laws !:bandit:

BUT my bike happens to be a 2000 bird (black of course)

Cheers for the "warning" and I will endevour to avoid it like the plague !

Download it

OK, so I understand I can rid myself of this aweful virus if I put it in the DOWNLOAD section.

But I am not allowed to post to that section.

Any more ideas?

As useful as this item is, for legal reasons Wiz will not allow any copywrite stuff on his server.
I am sure you will all understand why :p
best thing to do to get rid of it ( :} ) would be to find a bit of free web space ( angelfire perhaps ? ) and deposit it on there... You can then post a link to where it is so folk will know to avoid that url ! :-:

I agree entirely. I could not possibly put copyright material on my own servers. My sentiments all along.

So here is a virus warning peeps.

1) Avoid this URL at all costs....
http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forum/

2) Do not scroll down to MECHANICAL FAQ / The Garage

3) Do not click on Microfiche, and do not forget its a RIGHT CLICK you must avoid at all costs.

At running the risk of sounding a bit thick, (But what else is new), does it matter that its an American manual? Will the part numbers be the same?

............Glad you warned me about that !!

I'll be sure to tell all the Guys on the BIRD site to avoid this pitfall too.............

......and received a truly warm welcome to the forum................
[edited 11.20] ........via forum and e-mail..............

db.........you can give my heartfelt welcome to anyone from the bird site to access the site................

PROVIDING THEY PUT BACK INTO THE FORUM.

There's a thread regarding forum contributions through paypal or check in the Pub, and there's a certain amount of discourse where people share experiences and ideas, sources for parts and where the good suppliers are, as well as the best prices. That's what I mean about putting back in. According to Keith Phillips(thats "Wiz" in case you don't know), all this type of information is supposed to be on YOUR OWN wonderful site. My email to him when the IXXRA was dismantled by your people read in part:
Quote:
> You say you have great plans for the forum that will make it so much better.....like parts diagrams and such. Is there anything that I can help you with there or contribute? I don't have everything, but I probably have more resources than most...unfortunately they are US, not UK, but still might be helpful.

Mr. Phillips didn't think he needed any of my assistance, and informed that all these things and more would be available on the BIRD site....making it so much more than under the previous administration. That and the many emails I received telling me to fook off with my admonitions to those former IXXRA members that didn't even know Anth but felt the need to badmouth him and give credit elsewhere for his work left me with somewhat of a poor regard for many of the BIRD membership.

So you needn't spread the world too loudly........I'm sure they can get all this information right at home.......

So naturally, I was grateful for such a splendid welcome from our American cousins. After all if Mr Blair seems intent on fighting their war with em regardless of what you and I may feel, I thought it right and proper to at least get to know them better. But discretion, being the better part of valour, led me to withdraw somewhat more gracefully that I was welcomed...............

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I thank you for your warm and heartfelt welcome.

I'll certainly make sure that the advice in line two of my first of a total of two posts on this forum is followed to the letter.

My final message could be misinterpreted by the casual observer as a surprisingly sophisticated attempt by a Dolphin at a double backwards somersault through a hoop whilst whistling 'The Star Bangled Banner'
[with apologies to Douglas Adams]

The moral of the story is.............Heed Warnings !! :t

Oh bugger i seem to find myself totally infected with it as well:rolleyes:

To make matters worse there seems to be subliminal messages within it telling the voices in my head to copy it onto CD
