I have an appointment with the Cardiologist at Pinderfields, came as a bit of a surprise as the results from the echocardiogram were fine, probably just to tell me all is well & he doesn’t need to see me again.

I’ve felt fine since my little episode, actually better since coming off Ramipril, my stats were perfect when I had them checked at the docs the other day.

Good luck Derek. My experience for what its worth is that they do like to call you in and speak to you in person even when its good news.

Had they been concerned I am sure they would have got you in much sooner.

He probably heard that you've been watching All Star Musicals and is gonna punch you in the balls!

I hope all goes well.

Not quite what I hoped, lovely female Doctor (so no she didn’t punch me in the balls) because my initial echocardiogram showed slight damage which is normal as we get older she wants me to have an mri scan, she says this will show if I need to go on anti coagulation meds, hope not cos I bleed like a stuffed pig when I get a cut.

Never mind that, did she have big tits or what?

Good luck. I hope you get your scan soon and have a positive outcome.

I am in the same situation which is why I have now had to retire from riding.

I am on Warfarin which means I cannot take aspirin and I cannot eat anything green because of the vitamin K content (which suits me fine), but there are new products coming onto the market which avoid the need to go for a blood test to check your INR levels avery few months and ypou canstill eat whatever you like.

It is the risk of the big bleed that remains the main worry.

In the first 12 months I was getting regular nose bleeds, you bruise easily (big time) but you do get used to it.

Hope everything works out for you though D...
